2008's programs include:
Advanced Pavement Certification Program -- This 3 day course focuses on Materials, Design, Specifications, Surface Preparation, Placing and Compaction. It will be held from May 5 & 6, 2008.
2008's programs also included the programs below and will be re-scheduled for early 2009.
Asphalt 101 -Asphalt Plant Technician Training Course (Level 1) – This six day course of hands on training from stockpile gradations to a complete Marshall Mix design. New Jersey Society of Asphalt Technologist will be presenting the above course on January 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, and 25, 2008 for HMA suppliers, testing laboratories, contractors and other interested individuals. This course will prepare you to satisfy the educational requirements for New Jersey Society Asphalt Technologist (NJSAT) Level 1 Certification Program. Each applicant should have one year’s experience in asphalt plant inspection, operations or other related asphalt technology. Dates to be determined.
Superpave Asphalt Plant Advanced Technician
Training Course – This course includes four days of hands on training from stockpiles to a complete
Superpave mix design. This four-day
course is designed to also introduce the new Superpave specification changes,
quality control troubleshooting and Level 2 certification. New Jersey Society of
Asphalt Technologist (NJSAT) will be presenting the above course on February 14, 15, 21 and 22, 2008
for suppliers, testing laboratories, contractors, and other interested
individuals. This course will
prepare you to satisfy the educational requirements for NJSAT’s Level 2
Certification Program. This
advanced level 2 program is required for projects containing Superpave mixtures.
